Two Product Design projects in the running for the ADI Medal at the 2020 ADI-FAD Awards

Two projects by students of the Undergraduate Degree in Product Design have been shortlisted for the ADI Medal at the 2020 ADI-FAD Awards, organised by the ADI-FAD Industrial Design Association.

The EMA and Ou One Ou designs, both linked to the field of healthcare and well-being, are in the running for this award, which was created in 1976 to recognise final degree, postgraduate or master’s degree projects by young designers who have recently completed their training in Spanish education centres.

EMA, by Anastasiia Kuliabina, is a proposal that aims to improve the experience of wireless electrocardiogram (ECG) testing for children. The project, which was showcased in the 2019 Global Grad Show, seeks to simplify the work of medical professionals and make the test more bearable for the pediatric patient.

Ou One Ou, by Iván Pérez Jové, is a nasal filter that allows you to comfortably practice physical exercise in large cities by avoiding inhaling polluting substances. Easy to insert and remove, the filter has catalytic properties and can be replaced once dirty.

The winners, selected by a jury of national and international experts out of a total of 160 projects, will be announced on 24th November during Barcelona Design Week.
