Patricia Caylet, student of IED Barcelona, awarded by Gratacós
In the context of the Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, Patricia Caylet, student of IED Barcelona School of Design, has been awarded with the Gratacós scholarship ‘Gratacós Bridal Scholarship for the Talent’. The winning project is a harmonious color bone creation, inspired by organic forms and developed with a fabric with subtle reliefs.
The Gratacós award recognizes the best project of the Postgraduate in Wedding and Ceremony Dresses Design of IED Barcelona and aims to support creative people who come to Barcelona to train and want to break into the fashion world. The scholarship is endowed with 1,000 euro in cash and 500 euro in bridal fabrics of the Gratacós collection.
Throughout April, the Gratacós space exhibits a ‘moulage’ -a seamless reproduction, made only with fabric and pins- of Patricia Caylet’s design. In addition, coinciding with the Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, another identical ‘moulage’ of the winner’s project will be showed at the window display of the Hotel Majestic in Barcelona (Paseo de Gracia, nº 68-70).
