‘NEW CRAFTS DIGITAL REVOLUTION’ IN THE 3rd edition of the International Crafts Audiovisual Exhibition
‘New Crafts Digital Revolution’ is moving from the classroom to the big screen. An audiovisual piece by IED Barcelona that recounts the story of the collaboration between Product Design students and the Catalan Commerce, Crafts and Fashion Consortium (Consorcio de Comercio, Artesanía y Moda, CCAM) has been selected to be showcased in the 3rd edition of the International Crafts Audiovisual Exhibition.
The film documents the students’ journey of experimentation through crafts and digital manufacturing techniques within the framework of their Personal Development Project course. The outcome of the process culminates in innovative projects created alongside master craftsmen and women, in collaboration with BCN3D Sigma and the Ateneu de Fabricació Digital [Fab Lab] in Gràcia. You can discover all the creations from the latest edition here.
The exhibition, which will be held in virtual format from 3 to 12 October on the platform Filmin, also includes two round tables, which will be broadcast on Instagram Live via the @artesaniacat account. Check out the full programme.
