“La luna è una Lampadina. 50 anni IED”

An interactive exhibition of ideas and projects, faces and events that have marked the evolution of IED network, but also that of our society, from 1966 to today. It’s La luna è una lampadina. 50 anni IED, the international exhibition that the Istituto Europeo di Design has devoted to its 50 years of history and that will inaugurate on October 26th at La Triennale di Milano.

An exhibition reflecting a cosmopolitan network of students, alumni, designers and companies that have contributed over time to shape what is today the Istituto Europeo di Design. But also an emotional journey through time, an immersion in the present, a vision of the future.

The history of IED takes shape in the spaces of La Triennale through the views and geographical and emotional works of its former students, to the point of reconstructing the context in which the Institute was born and has evolved. A journey through the classrooms of the past, encountering teachers, creatives and methods.

To emphasise the creative and innovative design method that has distinguished IED over the years, the event is accompanied by a permanent exhibition of over 50 events involving students and instructors from all campuses.

La luna è una lampadina. 50 anni IED exhibition – curated by Rossella Bertolazzi and Davide Sgalippa of the IED Milano School of Visual Arts – can be visited free of charge at La Triennale until November 19th.
