IED Barcelona and IED Turin carry out a joint project on the future of SEAT mobility
For the first time ever, the Barcelona and Turin branches of Istituto Europeo di Design have carried out a joint thesis project in collaboration with the well-known Spanish automotive brand SEAT who challenged the students of their respective Bachelor of Arts in Transportation Design to depict the future mobility starting from the concept of emotional driving.
An international thesis project indeed, where Italy and Spain worked hard by keeping firm their common vocation for innovation, a distinctive feature of the whole IED network. Every month, the students gather in one of the Istituto Europeo di Design sites to develop their ideas under the supervision of Jesús Iglesias, Transportation Design Course Coordinator at IED Barcelona -and designer at SEAT- and Fulvio Fantolino, Coordinator of the Transportation Design Course at IED Turin.
Thanks to this project, students can share their visions and exchange working methods with the aim of achieving an innovative and creative proposal that responds to SEAT challenge.
In June, the final projects will be presented in front of SEAT design team in Barcelona.
