DESIGNING FOR THE MANY

Masterminded within the courses taught by the IED Masters Barcelona School, Designing for the many is an educational innovation project conceived to research what capabilities, strategies and impacts design has in our social construction, calling society’s cultural, productive, economic and political aspects into question.

What is democratic design all about? How many manys? We have put together interdisciplinary groups applying creative and experimental methods who will be working with both theoretical and practical research records linked to productivistic, critical and speculative initiatives.

Our findings will be published on the Designingforthemany website, where you will also find information about the concepts we develop.

Organised by: IED Masters Barcelona

Academically commissioned by: PhD. Irma Arribas Pérez and Harry Paul van Ierssel.

First edition: Academic year 2018-2019

In collaboration with: IKEA
