Social Responsibility and Sustainability. IED Barcelona with Malas Meninas at 080 Barcelona
July 3rd took place the conference Responsabilidad Social y Sostenibilidad. El IED Barcelona con Malas Meninas: la traducción de valores en moda at the 080 Barcelona Fashion. A meeting to show how inside the fashion world exist initiatives that combines the right interests of the company, with the genuine commitment for a positive social and environmental impact. Also, it presented the collection “Soleada Barcelona” designed by the student of Fashion Design of IED Barcelona Nina Sibiratkina, result of a collaboration project among the school and Malas Meninas.
The essential keys of the confreence were:
– How Malas Meninas, social brand of Home&Live Style manufactured in A Puntadas, is a symbol of commitment, design, beauty, traceability and inclusion. Charo Mora, specialist in fashion culture and Honor Committee member of the brand.
– How A Puntadas, social company of textile confection, offer employment opportunities for women with risk of social exclusion. Rosa Escandell, company manager.
– The necessity of integrate the ethic and sustainable fashion values in the education of the future designers. Pilar Pasamontes, Fashion scientific manager of IED Barcelona.
