Salvatore Ferragamo Masterclass by Stefania Ricci
Stefania Ricci, Museo Salvatore Ferragamo Director, will teach the masterclass “Salvatore Ferragamo across Art and Fashion” on October 17th at 9:30 a.m. on the occasion of the opening ceremony of the first year courses for the Bachelor of Arts and IED Diplomas at IED Barcelona.
The masterclass will be completely in English and will be a retrospective of the career of the shoe designer whose worldwide fame came from inventing wedge heels and cage heels. She will also talk about the close relationship between Ferragamo’s designs and traditional Tuscan craftsmanship and contemporary art, two of his main influences.
At 19 p.m., Stefania Ricci will repeat the presentation at Istituto Italiano Di Cultura Barcellona in an event open to the public, in occasion of the XVI Settimana della Lingua Italiana nel mondo that will focus on “L’italiano e la creatività: marchi e costumi, moda e design”.
