Point Two: Find out the new IED Human-Tech Design space!
IED Barcelona opens Point Two, a new space dedicated to applied research in design in the age of human-tech. The new building is located in Carrer de Sant Salvador, and wants to become a meeting point for research and cooperation between the academic world and the business industry.
In order to celebrate the opening of this new space, the next 5th of March, a colloquium about Human-Tech Design Challenges 2020 will take place in the building. The event will be presented by Alessandro Manetti, CEO of IED in Spain. He will reflect on the challenges that the new decade brings, along with Francisco Jarauta, Philosopher and Scientific Director of IED, Aleix Valls, Director of H-Farm Barcelona, and Carlos Arroyo Bertone, vice-president, designer and expert in digital design and technology.
Among other topics, they will discuss design as an essential tool for new professionals and humans skills, the role of education and creative professions, the impact of technology on peoples’ lives and sustainability as the common basis to globalized lifestyles and consumption.
