LOEWE FOUNDATION EXPERTS PANEL ON CONTEMPORARY CRAFT
The LOEWE FOUNDATION and IED will once again join forces to showcase the value of craft as a fundamental axis of design, art and the economy.
On 25 January 2022 at 7.30 pm, IED Madrid’s Altamira Palace will be host to a panel that brings together expert craftsmen and women in a round table where they will discuss craft from an artistic perspective, as well as its relationship with tradition and the future.
The LOEWE FOUNDATION has chosen the school as part of a series of activities planned for the 2022 academic year, following the launch of The Room in November; a platform that gathers the work of great contemporary craftsmen and women, winners and finalists of the iconic Loewe Craft Prize.
The event will be available to view via streaming via this link.
- Hyeyoung Cho, Secretary General of the Korea Craft and Design Foundation
- Peter Bauhuis, Metal Artist
- Jiyong Lee, Glass Artist
The Panel will be moderated by Anatxu Zabalbeascoa, Architecture and Design Correspondent for El País, and Chair of the Jury of the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize.
The Panel will be held in English.
