
IED Barcelona hosts EXEMPLAR, an exhibition on occasion of the Italian Design Day

On March 2nd at 19 h., IED Barcelona hosts the first exhibition dedicated to Italian design on occasion of the International Italian Design Day that will be celebrated the same day in 100 cities around the world. The initiative is promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Plans with the collaboration of the Consolato Generale de Italia in Barcelona, Istituto Europeo di Design (IED), Istituto Italiano di Cultura and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Barcelona. The event counts with the partnership of Assiteca.
The event will start with a round table titled “Italian design as a bridge between tradition and innovation”, by Luisa Bocchietto, special guest; Alessandro Manetti, IED Barcelona director; Stefano Colli, architect and interior designer; Michela Mezzavilla, lighting designer; Alessandra Colella, IED Barcelona alumni and designer of KIRIKI, children’s fashion brand; and Alessandro Giacobbe, Student of last course of Interior Design from IED.
After the round table, Stefano Nicoletti, Consul General of Italy in Barcelona, and Alessandro Manetti will open the exhibition with an Italian appetizer thanks to Cucine Mandarosso, Regioni d’Italia, Porchetta, Bella Italia and Campari, who will offer cocktails and live music with a singular piano bar.
