
IED Barcelona at the Barcelona Design Week

From 6th to 14th June, Barcelona will host another Design Week (BDW). IED Barcelona Design University will take part in several events:
BDW Talks: Design & Research
On Friday 9th June Luciana Leveratto, of IED Barcelona, will take part in BDW Talks: Design & Research for Health in the DHub Auditorium to talk about the Challenge Based Innovation (CBI) project, an academic program in collaboration with IdeaSquare, the innovation centre at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research in Geneva (Switzerland).
Leveratto and her colleagues on the project, Ramón Bragós (UPC) and Kyriaki Papageorgiou (ESADE), will participate in a round table moderated by Dr. Jaume Pérez Payarols, innovation and research manager of Hospital Sant Joan de Déu.

Social Design Projects exhibition by Barcelona’s Design Universities
IED Barcelona will participate in the exhibition organised by EDIVI, “Educació per al disseny per viure, xarxa de centres d’ensenyament superior de disseny per a la innovació social i la sostenibilitat” showing social design projects by students.
Date: 6th to 14th June
Place: Hall Museu del Disseny, (1st floor)
In addition, on Tuesday 13th design students will talk about their projects, in which the use of design helps social development.

Talent Show
On 14th June, the DHub Auditorium will host a Talent Show, an event intended to display the emerging talent of the next generations of designers. Christoph Sokol, graduate of the Undergraduate Degree in Transportation Design, will talk about the “SEAT Mergo”; and Gudmundur Hilmar Tomasson & Artem Nikolaev, students on the IED Diploma in Creative Advertising and Branding, will present their project “The last time”.
