Workshop Sensorial Branding during BDW 2021
IED Barcelona organizes a workshop “BRANDING SENSORIAL: Multi-sensory experiences for brands through Food Event Design” during the Barcelona Design Week City Festival.
This workshop proposes a sensory journey to discover how the senses intervene in the perception of brand experiences. Sight, smell, taste, touch and hearing are capable of offering very useful and meaningful information for a brand: they allow to elevate the mood, promote decision-making, awaken sensations stored in the unconscious, establish new ones. Affective bonds… When all the senses work together, intersect and complement each other, it is possible to connect with the user in an emotional, deep and unforgettable way.
Iván Merino and Sergi Freixes, teachers of the Postgraduate Program in Food Event Design at IED Barcelona Master School, are in charge of this creative initiative, in which design plays a key role in creating multi-sensory experiences in brand building.
The activity will take place at the new headquarters of the Centro Superior de Diseño – IED Point Two located at Calle Sant Salvador 70-72.
