Introduction
The fashion world needs the figure of a graphic designer who focuses on fashion. These specialists work with textiles in a very specific way and have a special sensibility towards the world of fashion and trends, allowing them to convey them in their graphic work.
This course provides a global experience based on the student defining their own graphic discourse, analysing trends and learning all about materials and manual and digital techniques.
Objectives
To achieve that experience, the course is intended for fashion and/or graphic designers to further their ability to understand, manage and provide solutions in the creative printing and pattern process, and to learn how to apply these techniques to clothing and knitted fabrics.
At the end, students will have built up a collection of prints and patterns linked to a given theme which they will create by applying the most suitable techniques.
Methodology
The course lasts four weeks and involves an initial section combining theory and practical, manual experience with expert teachers in the sector, followed by a fully practical part in order to apply the manual techniques learnt to digital processes.
Student Profile
Graphic design and fashion design students (who have either graduated or completed all but the last year of their degree) wishing to become more specialised in fashion illustration/graphics.
All students will need some knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop.
