Principles of Design Thinking
Duration: 6 weeks
Start Date: 21 February 2022
In a complex and changing environment like the one we live in, Design Thinking is key to identify opportunities and build a better future for people, companies and institutions.
Design Thinking is a way of thinking, a method and an iterative, non-linear process composed of phases that allow the design and implementation of useful and innovative products, services and solutions focused on the user.
Understanding the creative process in design to promote and develop the creativity that each person has within themselves.
This is a Project-Based Learning (PBL) course in which e-learning tools are used to promote collaborative work techniques. Each subject is divided into three parts to make learning and applying what you’ve learned easier. Part one focuses on the method, i.e., how to approach each design thinking phase. Part two explores the tools you need for a design thinking process. Finally, part three is dedicated to the activities and projects that will allow you to apply what you have learned.
How to deal with each stage of Design Thinking, understanding the reason for its steps and in which cases they are applied, following the tips and tricks of professional experts.
What tools are necessary to develop a Design Thinking process, such as ecosystem mapping, user profiles, user journey, research, ideation, rapid prototyping and testing techniques.
At each stage, you will be accompanied by a teacher who will help you to develop a Design Thinking process, an exercise that will consolidate the skills acquired in the method and the use of tools.
This course is for you if you’re interested in the creative process, want to explore and understand creativity, and find a career path increasingly in demand.
This course is for you if you’re:
– A professional who wants to learn what design thinking is and how to implement it.
– A professional involved in the management of user-centred creative projects with a systematic and critical approach.
– Interested in improving your knowledge about design thinking.
The Design Thinking Process course is conceived as an initial contact with this discipline.
