CSP in Digital Graphic Design
Graphic design is evolving to keep up with the growing need to create digital tools such as websites, blogs, banners, newsletters, gifts and digital presentations.
The course in Digital Graphic Design teaches students to work with these tools and gain the skills they need to adapt their graphic design knowledge to the various formats companies require in digital communication, with a special focus on social media.
– To equip students with the tools they need to carry out visual communication projects adapted to the digital world.
– To offer students tools to help them design innovative digital products. – To create interface designs for a mobile app based on technological design trends.
– Using digital typographies correctly - Introducing the student to digital graphic illustration
– Learning to use and adapt photographic images to the digital world (format, filter)
– Knowing how to deal with companies and offer them a good service and budget.
Thanks to a team of working professionals who specialise in various branches of graphic design, the classroom is turned into a specialised digital studio. This means that by the end of the course, students are ready to venture into the working world as freelancers.
The course is geared mainly towards people looking for an introduction or deeper insight into the main tools for generating digital graphic projects.
Other potential students include designers from other fields, graduates and undergraduates in Fine Arts, Audiovisual Communication, Photography, Publishing, Advertising, Editing, Journalism, Printing, Typography or Calligraphy wishing to learn more about graphic design.
Attendants on this course should have prior knowledge of the Adobe suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design).
Applicants will be required to submit a CV and cover letter. If any of the admission requirements are not met, the School will consider each applicant separately and reserves the right to summon applicants for an interview.
Upon completion of the course and depending on each student’s prior experience, there will be various career options.
The course coordinator is Sergi Freixes, graphic designer and founding member of the company FREIXES-GARRIGA, specialized in communication and editorial design. Co-author of the books: Coautor de los libros: “Libros Prohibidos”, “Revistas Prohibidas” and “Els últims invents de Ramon Sabatés”, all of them published with Viena Editorial. The course promotes the project culture with companies to solve the distance between education and the world of work. Students not only acknowledge methodologies and tools for their discipline, but also learn to work and get in touch with with real clients and briefings.
Companies that have collaborated with the CSP: Camera di Commercio Italiana, Filmoteca de Catalunya, Cat Real Estate, Birra 08, etc.
The educational planning for all IED Master courses is aligned with the criteria established by the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). The IED Master program has adopted a credit structure that follows the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). The IED Master is a private degree.
