You’ll acquire a skill set that ranges from hand drawn design, photography and video to digital animated design, video mapping and virtual reality. After finishing the program you’ll have all the resources you need for every stage of the animation creation process.

During the 4-year program you’ll discover the ins and outs of art direction, storytelling, post-production, and more.

There are 60 places available for first-year students majoring in Graphic Design. Of these places, there is no specific number assigned by pathway or language.

Information to decide

You’ll learn to tell stories in motion in a creative and multidisciplinary environment in one of the capitals of the design world, adopting the latest techniques and technologies used in the audiovisual sector.

The program is based on a learning-by-doing methodology: you’ll learn by designing your own animation projects.

You’ll work in an interdisciplinary space, sharing workshops and joint projects with people studying a number of other design disciplines.

The syllabus includes progressive learning objectives, the difficulty of which increases during the 4-year program. Last but not least, you’ll prepare a final project with real companies, giving you the experience you need to start working as a professional Motion Graphics Designer.

This program is for people particularly interested in design, drawing and animation.

The goals are to approach 2D and 3D design in a creative way, creating short animation films, video and sound, so it’s essential to have experience and a healthy curiosity in these areas.

You’ll be presented with a number of professional opportunities when you’ve finished the program: graphic design specialist, videographer, video creator, video editor and graphic animator specialised in every aspect of the art.

In this program you’ll learn everything you want to know about graphic design, specialising in motion graphics and video production, opening the door to a wide and creative spectrum of work opportunities.

When you’ve finished this program, you’ll have all the resources you need to animate your own graphics, tell stories in motion, add sound to your animations and convert them into an audiovisual format for mobile devices, screens, web, showcases, video projections or VR environments.

What’s more, you’ll also learn the most effective storytelling techniques, and discover the digital tools used in recording, editing and post-production. You’ll turn the know-how you’ve acquired into hands-on experience, developing projects for real brands and clients.

Last but not least, IED has its own photography and video studio, a sound lab, and state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment you can use to let your talent unfold without limits, and you can use the XR Lab to discover and experiment with the latest immersive experiences such as VR and AR.
