Project: Seat Kiro
The main objective of the project with SEAT is to improve personal mobility in big cities in 2035 by using non-traditional methods of transportation to bring optimal efficiency to the cities of the future.
The student Luis Mestre took his inspiration from nature to find a system that would solve road congestion. He turned to bats, animals that are only seen when they come out of their caves to feed.
The student translated this concept to a vehicle and designed one that, when it is not required for use as transportation, is automatically stored underground to prevent its having a negative visual impact. If no storage space should be available nearby, it transforms into urban furniture, giving it a function that is of use to the general public.
